Berlin's creative spots: Where street art meets style – and dirty jewels meet you

Berlin is a melting pot of creativity, where the streets vibrate and the art scene lives in every corner of the city. There is more than one great place where street art, music and design come together - and these are the exact spots where you will find Dirty Jewels, because this is exactly where we want to bring our unique graffiti jewelry to the people. Let's take a look at these creative hotspots where you can experience art, culture and style up close:

Mauerpark: From death strip to creative epicenter

Once a gloomy part of the Berlin Wall, today a vibrant meeting place for Berliners and tourists alike - Mauerpark is the heart of Berlin's creative scene. Located between Prenzlauer Berg and Wedding, the former strip of the Wall has been transformed into a green oasis - by Berlin standards - where flea markets, barbecues and musicians set the tone on the weekends.

The most famous is the Sunday Mauerpark Karaoke, which Joe Hatchiban has been organizing here since 2009 with two speakers and a laptop. Here you can prove yourself on stage with your favorite song in front of hundreds of spectators in the amphitheater - and applause is guaranteed. But it's not just music lovers who get their money's worth, because the 300-meter-long Hinterland Wall stretches directly behind the amphitheater, providing a huge area for graffiti artists to let their creativity run wild. And because we love this hustle and bustle so much, you'll also find Dirty Jewels here every Sunday at the Mauerpark flea market, who conjure up their jewelry from the colorful remnants of the Hinterland Wall, among other things.

Boxhagener Platz: The neighborhood meeting place with flair

Boxhagener Platz, or simply "Boxi", is the vibrant center of Friedrichshain. This is where different lifestyles meet, which make the neighborhood so special. The weekly market at Boxi is small but nice and yet there really is something for everyone. Whether it's fresh organic vegetables, handmade jewelry or delicious snacks - here you'll find what your heart desires without even knowing it. The city of Berlin has also recognized how special this green square in the middle of Berlin's east is and has promptly placed Boxi under protection as a garden monument.

Dirty Jewels is regularly present on Saturdays at the Boxi market. In addition to fresh food and handmade goods, you can immerse yourself in the colorful world of graffiti jewelry. The relaxed neighborhood atmosphere and the colorful mix of people make the Boxi an ideal place to soak up the creative vibes of Berlin.

HiP.inside in the Southeast region: Where hip-hop meets art

If hip hop, graffiti and good vibes are your thing, you're in the same boat as us and the regular HiP.inside in the southeast area is the place to be. There's a full program here: rap battles, graffiti contests, breakdance and live acts - it's all here. It starts at 6 p.m. and the party doesn't end until the sun comes up. We felt right at home here from the start because Dirty Jewels fits perfectly into this atmosphere. In addition to the exciting battles and live performances, you can try on the unique pieces of jewelry for the appropriate bling and of course buy them too. Art is celebrated here in all its facets and Dirty Jewels is right in the middle of it.

Conclusion: Berlin’s creative spots – the perfect mix of art and culture

Berlin is full of creative hotspots that make the heart of every art and culture fan beat faster. Whether it's Mauerpark, Boxhagener Platz, HiP.inside or Teufelsberg - there are places all over the city where art, music and style come together. This is exactly where we're at, which is why you'll find us wherever the most beautiful mix of people come together. And for all the other spots: We'll keep you posted on Instagram!
